Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Seek Ventures, LLC, doing business as Flip Float Swim ("we", "us"), collects, uses, and protects information when you use flipfloatswim.com, enroll in our programs, or communicate with us. We are a children's water self-rescue and swim instruction service based in North County San Diego, California. By using the site or our services you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Parent or guardian information: your name, email address, and phone number when you contact us, book, or enroll.
- Child enrollment information, provided by you: your child's name, age, swim experience, and any safety-relevant notes you choose to share so we can teach safely and effectively.
- Waivers and releases: the liability waiver and the photo/video media release you sign at enrollment, including your signature and the choices you make.
- Reservations and scheduling: program, time slot, and attendance details.
- Payment information: payments and payment plans are processed by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers on our systems.
- Site usage: we use only essential cookies needed for the site to function. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this site. Our booking form uses Google Maps address autocomplete, a Google service that receives the address text you type and your IP address in order to suggest addresses.
How we use information
- To schedule and provide swim instruction and water self-rescue programs.
- To keep your child safe during lessons (instructor awareness of the notes you provide).
- To process payments, refunds, and payment plans through Stripe.
- To send service communications about your enrollment (confirmations, schedule changes, reminders) by email or text message.
- To honor your media-release choice (see below).
- To meet legal, safety, and insurance obligations.
We do not send marketing messages to children, and we never use children's information for marketing or advertising.
Photos and video of your child
We take photos or video of a child only when the parent or guardian has signed the media release. If you decline the release, that choice is recorded in our system and our instructors are actively reminded which students may not be photographed or filmed. You can change or revoke your media-release choice at any time by contacting us, and you may request deletion of any existing photos or video of your child.
Children's privacy
Our services are intended for use by parents and guardians. We collect information about children only from a parent or guardian, use it solely to deliver the enrolled program safely, and never use children's information for marketing. Parents may review, correct, or request deletion of their child's information at any time by contacting us at the address below.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only with the service providers that run our operations, under their contractual duty to use it solely to provide their service to us: Stripe (payment processing), Supabase (secure data storage), and Netlify (website hosting). We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the safety of a child.
Data retention
We keep enrollment and scheduling information while your family is an active client and for a reasonable period afterward. Signed waivers, media releases, and payment records are retained for the period required by law and by our insurance obligations, then deleted.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information we will notify you as required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you and your child, and to opt out of any marketing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity (and your relationship to the child, for requests about a child's information) before acting on a request. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
California privacy notice
For California residents, this section serves as our notice at collection under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
- Categories collected: identifiers (name, email, phone); customer records (enrollment, waiver, and media-release records, including your child's name and age); commercial information (programs purchased, payment history processed by Stripe); and limited internet activity (essential cookies only).
- Purposes: providing and scheduling instruction, child safety, payment processing, service communications, honoring media-release choices, and legal/insurance compliance, as described above.
- Sale/sharing: we do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done either in the preceding 12 months. We have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of anyone under 16.
- Retention: as described in "Data retention" above.
- Sensitive information: any safety notes you provide about your child are used only to deliver lessons safely, never for inference or marketing.
Our site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals because we do not track visitors across other websites in the first place.

Our site may link to third-party sites (for example, our payment page hosted by Stripe). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest revision; material changes will be posted on this page.
